Tyler was first introduced to the power of photography at the age of eight. During summer road trips with his family his father would take photos that turned into end of summer slide shows. It was during these times he was excited about reliving the trips and sharing the adventures with others.
First armed with the tools from his father and later developing dark room skills in school, photography began as a hobby that quickly turned into a passion. In 1999 he moved to Southern California to pursue his other passion, aviation. While working toward his commercial pilot's license he was employed by an aerial photographer where he had the opportunity to fly aerial missions and develop photographs in a dark room. As his flying career advanced it allowed him to travel over so much of the wilderness and unspoiled landscapes many people never see. He was driven to see these landscapes closer and experience nature armed with a camera. Invigorated by his experiences he feels that by sharing these sights there is the opportunity to promote the conservation and preservation of the wildness that still exists.
